Hi and welcome to WordPress.com. This video will show you how to set
a site logo on your website or blog. With the Site Logo feature, you can set
your logo once, and it will display for most themes, no matter how often
you change themes. It’s also a pretty nice way to incorporate
some of your own branding into your site, whether you’re an individual or a business. To start, prepare your logo. Ideal formats are PNG and JPG. Then, log into your site
and click on Customize. Click on Title, Tagline, and Logo. In the section that opens out,
click the Add Logo button to open the Media Manager. Upload your new image. Click Set as Logo, and you will see
your logo appear in the preview window. You’ll see a checkbox labeled
Display Header Text. To hide your site title and description,
leaving just a logo, uncheck this box. Be sure to click Save & Publish
to make it active on your site. And that’s it! For more tips and tricks,
visit the WordPress.com support site.
Nice and easy!
do you need to have premium or business plan in order to do this. as it's not showing up somehow on mine
Thank you>>
I do this but it doesn't stay there
Thank you for this tutorial. I've a small question. What should be the size of the logo? In the video, the dimension used is 466 x 684. The video says the logo will be carried across any time I change the theme. So am not sure if I need to follow a specific size. Couldn't see it mentioned anywhere. Hence the question. Thank you for any help in advance.
The menus have changed in wordpress and I can't find the checkbox in the present version. So I am stuck with either having a logo or displaying the site name, but not both. Can anyone tell me where the checkbox is in the present version?
