Hi I’m Bunny and I’m the Marketing
Manager here at Atlanta Media Pros and today I’m gonna talk to you about videos
for your website. You go to a modern web site these days you’ll notice that a lot
of them have a video playing in the background on the splash when you get
there. Video is a great way to engage with your viewer and to get them to
stick around a lot longer. Their eye immediately tracks to the video and
they’ll watch usually at least the first 5 to 10 seconds before moving on to find
the information they’re actually looking for. So what type of video should you
have on your website? Well obviously you’re gonna want that splash video.
There’s a couple different things you need to know about that video before you
go ahead and start grabbing stock footage to compile for it. First thing
is that it needs to be on brand and it needs to represent you and your business.
If you had 5 seconds to pitch your company, your business, your product, to a customer
what would you do? That’s what you want in your splash video. You want to make
sure that splash video is only 5 to 10 seconds long and automatically loops.
You want to make sure that while it is representing your brand and showing off
all you have to offer that it’s not too bright. One way to accommodate this is to
put a light or dark filter over the video to match the background of your
website and to help make the text on top of the video really stand out and grab
attention. People are gonna watch that video for about 5 to 10 seconds before
they move on and find direction where they wanted to go on your website when
they first arrived. Other places that you can use video on your site aside from
the main splash when people get there are things like video testimonials and
product displays. If you have any more questions about how video and your
website can work together feel free to reach out to us at Atlanta
Media Pros, we’re here to help.
