This is Duke University Hi, my name is Steve Nowicki, And I’m Sue Wasiolek. And we’d like to congratulate you on your acceptance to Duke, and welcome you to this exciting place to live, learn, and grow. And as a Faculty in Residence on East Campus, it’s also my home, and soon it will be yours too. At Duke, we want you to know that we are committed to connecting your learning in and out of the classroom to an incredible array of experiences and opportunities preparing you for the broader world. You’ll connect daily with your peers, with faculty and staff, with thinkers, leaders, and community members around issues of great significance from global to local. So that’s what you can expect from Duke. But we have one question for you… how do you plan to make your mark on this community, on your new home, what’s your vision? Whether you join an existing student group, or start a new one, hether your learning is in the classroom, in the lab, in the field, or beyond, we want you, we expect you to use the people and the opportunities at Duke to really have an impact here on campus, and in Durham, and to leave here with the skills and the experiences that enable you to make your vision real.
