Battle for Azeroth: Varok Saurfang’s Mak’gora

Battle for Azeroth: Varok Saurfang’s Mak’gora

You’ve made life your enemy. And that is a war you’ll never win. You can kill us… but you cannot kill hope. Can’t I? Lord Saurfang. How many, do you think? Too many. There is no honor in this! They will come for us now! All of them! My father, Hekazi… he fought with you in the Third War. He told me stories. How you could cut down 10 enemies with a single blow. This be my first battle. What should I do? Don’t die. Yes, of course, but… if I do fall, may it be with honor in glorious combat. There will be no glory today. Only pain. You have earned your warrior’s death… my son. Yet once again… I am denied it. What are you doing? Claiming what is mine. Go back. I said, go back! Live another day. Go back to your father. I can’t. He’s dead. The Horde… it’s all we have. So, you know me. Is that it? What I’ve seen? What I’ve done? Oh, give up, boy. Like you? Live… another day. Without armor? Ours is a cycle of hatred. Alliances forged and broken. We have paid the price
for sharing this world… and we have forgotten
what makes us strong. Close ranks! Advance as one! Lordaeron will be ours! My king, we have her cornered. Keep firing! For the Horde! Push forward! Anduin! Stand as one! For the Alliance! That’s the last of the soldiers. We’ll be calling up farmers next. When this war began… I thought we were fighting for peace. But we’re just… fighting. You’re doing all you can to stop her,
Your Majesty. At Lordaeron,
you had the chance to take my life… maybe even end the war. Why didn’t you kill me? Could kill you now. I spared you
because I believed you have honor. Was I wrong? Did you want more innocents to suffer? -The Horde–
-I have given everything for the Horde! Bled for it, killed for it. And Sylvanas is destroying it! She will destroy everything! What I want… is my Horde back. Saurfang… tell me why you spared my life. I hoped… you… would stop her. I can’t. Not alone. So… this is home now? Home. Family. And where are they? Not far. This world… it looks good. But it’s wrong. Broken. Falling apart. Just like the Horde. Do you know? Do you know what she’s done while you’ve been hiding? I left that life behind. I’m no one’s savior. I will not lead the Horde. I didn’t ask. But I hoped
you would at least fight for it. You were followed! I followed them. You and I… we don’t get to hide. Varok, it’s time. Those who defend Orgrimmar
are Horde as well. Our brothers and sisters. These warriors have sworn to fight… for you. Many lives will be lost. Or perhaps just one. Sylvanas Windrunner! I challenge! Mak’gora! A traitor leading traitors. Why should I accept your challenge? You want to make me suffer. Brother, you cannot win. My old friend. You and I… …we don’t get to hide. I set you on this path. And we knew where it could lead. Walk with me the rest of the way. Let it be finished. The High Overlord falls. I trusted you. And so did they. Death comes, old soldier… and all their hope dies with you. You cannot kill hope. You tried at Teldrassil. You failed. Hope remains. You set us to kill each other
at Lordaeron. You failed. Here we stand. You just keep failing! The Horde will endure! The Horde is strong! The Horde is nothing! You… are all… nothing! For Azeroth! If you could see yourselves as I see you. Toy soldiers in tinplate… beasts who howl for honor… standing as one. Savor it. Nothing lasts. What… do we do now? We bring him home.

  1. I used to like Sylvanas… but she fell off the wagon man. Can someone explain to me how she keeps getting stronger and stronger?!

  2. Spoiler warning for warcraft movie-

This is very similar to Durotans Death when fighting Guldan. Both died to expose a monster running the horde.

  3. The WoW cinematics have literally been multiple orders of magnitude better than the actual game since about 2007-2008.

  4. What a wonderful animation and I would like to see the next part of this animation sir, From The Country Nepal 🇳🇵👍🤗

  5. I really think it would of been so much better for Saurfang to shout out 'Lok'Tar' as in Victory just before she kills him, he had achieved what he wanted by making her show her true thoughts.. 'For Azeroth' just didn't do it for me.

  6. I liked the W3 movie adaptation but i love the cinematics! Why don't they put the guys that created these cinematics to do a full live action movie without any real actors, just digital adaptations of the best and most popular versions of our beloved characters. I'm tired of people misscasting random popular actors that have no clue about the lore and how the essence of the character it plays should look like. Tired of casting stupid directors that think that recreating in detail a place like Stormwind will make the movie better. I want these cinematics to be linked together in a trilogy of movies with substance and beauty like they are! Even till this day the scene where Arthas returns to kill his father, when he catches the rose petals on the sound of church bells still gives me shivers down the spine! Whoever wrote that scene and put it on display was a genius!!! I want to see Sylvanas story from start till end in an uninterupted movie, or Arthas or Thrall or any of the huge heroes the Warcraft universe has produced… The 10 years it took to make that movie it would've been better spent doing something i just wrote and it would've been a success. Trust the story and be assured that both fans and non fans alike will love it. If you don't believe me, check the amount of people watching a simple cinematic 🙂 Cheers!

  7. I love these cinematics, but please, dear Christ, can Sylvannas (and the horde) stop getting the short end of the stick EVERY GODDAMN TIME?!

  8. They did an amazing job with the animation. I was particularly impressed with the Tauren. They looked and moved exactly as I imagined. Would like to see more of them in future CGIs.

  9. Bullshit Sylvanas, Mary sue. Banshee powers were never that absurd. On a side note, CGI is really good, Blizzard should consider making a movie.

  10. I do not understand why Blizzard do not want to make a full CGI movie… It was going to be too expensive ( 1Million dollars per minute of CGI ) Well come the fck on isn't there some WoW loving billionaire who would gladly provide some chump change – 90-100 million for an hour and a half of pure Epicness. Even if it is 500 million, mfxkers have Billions of dollars to spend. Get the MFkin Bezos to sponsor it he will get his money back quadrupled no doubt lmfao

  11. a 20 minute cinematic sequence makes me feel more for these characters than an entire sequel SW trilogy did (i've never played WoW)

  12. If the cinematic creators can make them this good, then what happened with the warcraft movie? I liked the movie but I hear a lot of complaints about it and that's what I'm going off of.

  13. in my opinion, high overlord saurfang is the symbol of Azeroth's unity in this movie.

Thrall as the notabene leader of the horde since Sylvanas goin mad, entrust his axe to Saurfang as the horde's proof of trust. And Manduin entrust the Shalamayne as the Alliance's proof of trust.

And at last, Saurfang alone, as the embodiment of trust between horde and alliance, the Azeroth's trust, roaring "FOR AZEROOO.." and KABOOM. ( Seriously, why dont blizz let him finish the "for AZEROTH" sentence??!)

    =======

I hope the next warcraft movie would feature Saurfang as the main hero from the horde side, since the first movie already featured Anduin Lothar from Alliance.

RIP Saurfang. (I know, I know… Anduin tried to use resurrection – Invalid Target )

Thrall doesn't bother to change his talent from Enhancement to Restoration.

  14. Blizzard needs to make a 10 series movies about WoW. Not like the wow movie that was already made. But like this full CGI and amazing. IT would be the best movie in history.

  15. I don't understand why Sylvanas become like this. So malevolent. She is by far is one of the unhonorable people in Azeroth. Varok is a true Orc. A true warrior. A true and honorable chief and leader of the Horde. Much like how Anduin and Varian respects the honor of the Horde.
